1986
Our story begins in 1986, when our founder immigrated to the U.S. from a farming family in India, carrying generations of agricultural wisdom and a deep love for food. Working as a pizza delivery driver in Texas, he quickly recognized a gap in the market: the growing Indian and South Asian communities lacked access to the highquality spices and ingredients they were used to back home.
1992
In 1992, he took a leap of faith, investing his entire life savings to import his first container of spices. He began by selling directly to local stores and as the community grew, so did RUCHI’s reputation.
